FRRPL Scholarship

General Information

The Friends of Rocky River Public Library (FRRPL) have established a scholarship fund of $1,000 (one for $1,000 or two for $500 each) to be awarded to a high school graduating senior(s) who is a resident of Rocky River or has an affiliation with Rocky River Public Library, regardless of the high school they attend.

  • Scholarship(s) will be awarded each year at the May meeting of the Friends of Rocky River Public Library.

  • The number and value of the awards will be based upon the availability of funds and number of applicants.

  • All decisions of the Friends of Rocky River Public Library Scholarship Committee will be final.

  • The application deadline is March 31, 2025.

Our intent for this scholarship money is to provide financial assistance towards the purchase of the recipient’s educational fees or expenses.  Applications are available to download and print from the Friends of Rocky River Public Library website.

Application Requirements

Friends of RRPL Scholarship applications must include the following documents:

  • A completed application (see below)

  • A copy of your high school transcript

  • A letter of acceptance from a post-secondary institution

  • An essay on the topic “What the library means to me"

Friends of RRPL Scholarship Award Application

Eligibility:   Any graduating high school students who live in Rocky River or have an affiliation with Rocky River Public Library, regardless of the high school they attend.
